PAID FOR BY NORTH LAS VEGAS MOMENTUM PAC
In the June 11th primary election, North Las Vegas residents will be asked to vote YES on two important measures to reauthorize existing revenue sources that fund our Police, Firefighters, Parks and Roads.
Nearly 30 years ago, North Las Vegas voters approved additional property taxes of 0.435 cents per $100,000 of assessed property valuation. Those voters approved measures are soon expiring and YES on 1 & 2 reauthorizes them at the exact same rate.
No. You will pay the exact same property tax rate you do now.
Ironically, what you pay now in property taxes will likely not decrease, North Las Vegas will just lose our share of that existing funding to other entities and communities in Clark County.
This funding is specifically earmarked for certain areas. While the vast majority of this money goes directly to public safety, funds also go to roadway maintenance, improvements and parks.
These funds have been used to build new police and fire stations, hire more cops and corrections officers and provide critical equipment for police and firefighters. As a result, Wallethub named North Las Vegas the 24th safety city in the nation – YES on Questions 1 & 2 means first responders continue to have the resources needed to keep us safe.
This money has been used to build new roads and make our streets safer through repair and maintenance. It’s also been used to build and upgrade parks. For example, the North Las Vegas has been able to implement water conservation measures in our parks to do our part. YES on 1 & 2 lets us build upon these accomplishments so we can keep enhancing our public safety, streets and parks without raising taxes.
This is not a tax increase and you’ll pay the exact same property tax rate you do now with no action required on your part.
Questions 1 & 2 will appear on the June 11th primary election ballot along with candidates running for office. This timing is critical to ensure there is no interruption to North Las Vegas providing services with this revenue, as the existing voter approved authorization expires soon.

"Your firefighters rely on the funds provided by Question 1 &2 for new stations, fire trucks and life saving equipment. Now, we're relying on you to vote YES"
For the same cost you’re paying now, YES on 1&2 ensures North Las Vegas can continue to fund and equip police officers and firefighters.
YES on 1 & 2 won’t raise your property tax rate and your dollars are guaranteed to stay in North Las Vegas instead of going to other entities and areas of the valley like Henderson and Summerlin.
YES on 1&2 will continue funding infrastructure investment and over 100 critical positions in our community for police, firefighters and city employees who build and improve our streets and parks.
Shall the City Council of the City of North Las Vegas be authorized to maintain a tax rate of $0.2350 per $100 of assessed valuation for a period of 30 years to exclusively fund the costs to acquire, improve, equip, operate and maintain streets, parks, and fire stations? The tax rate shall commence upon the expiration of the existing tax rate on July 1, 2025. The cost for the owner of a new $100,000 home is estimated to be up to $82.25 per year. Tax rates will not be increased as a result of approval of this question.
Shall the City Council of the City of North Las Vegas be authorized to maintain a tax rate of $0.20 per $100 of assessed valuation for a period of 30 years to exclusively fund operating expenses for public safety and equipment and other expenses for the Police Department and Community Correction Center? The tax rate shall commence upon the expiration of the existing tax rate on July 1, 2027. The cost for the owner of a new $100,000 home is estimated to be up to $70 per year. Tax rates will not be increased as a result of approval of this question.
"North Las Vegas has seen an incredible turnaround. A YES vote on Question 1 & 2 is needed for us to accelerate the momentum we've built- so we can stay safe and invest in our infrastructure"
"Your police have your back 24/7 and now, we're asking you to back us with the continued resources needed to keep you safe. Vote YES."
